Performance Arts Subject Leader

Salary: Main Scale/Upper Pay Range plus TLR2a

Contract Type: 0.8 (Monday – Thursday)

Fulbrook is seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Subject Leader for Performance Arts (Music and Drama).

In light of the plans for the future of the school and its move to secondary status, this is an exciting and crucial time, as we continue to develop our provision for pupils up to the age of 16. We have a recently refurbished music suite and plans to convert our current gymnasium into a theatre and drama studio. This role could be suitable for the right candidate, who is potentially in the early stages of their career, looking for a leadership opportunity to help shape our Performance Arts curriculum.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • secure the highest levels of learner interest and achievement;
  • shape and articulate the Music and Drama curriculum intent, implementation and impact;
  • be a champion for Performance Arts and work effectively as part of a team, motivating others and developing a high-performing department.

Set in a magnificent green field site, just within the county boundary of Bedfordshire, the school is close to the exciting and vibrant city of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire. Our current number on role is 475. As an extended secondary school, we shall have approximately 720 pupils on roll by 2024.
