Overview
At Fulbrook, the drama programme provides students an opportunity to build their confidence in a fun and safe environment. One of the key focuses is working on creative courage and the ability to perform, present and speak confidently to an audience.
We make our drama lessons as fun and creative as possible, engaging the students in group games that help tune their focus, learn valuable theatre skills and also stretch their imagination. Our goal is to provide the students with the very best activities that will help them grow as a team.
There are numerous transferable skills in drama that we look to build on such as team work, problem-solving, concentration, communication and presentation skills that we believe are valuable tools that will be needed in all aspects of life.
At Fulbrook, students are taught many different dramatic skills and techniques and will have the opportunity to explore various scripts and pieces of text throughout the term. There is also a strong focus on group work and devising our own scenes.
There will also be many performance opportunities throughout the year, including the opportunity to perform in year assemblies and also end of year productions.
