How to Apply
Children moving up to Secondary School (Year 7 – September 2026).
This is for children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016.
The local authority co-ordinates the application process for children moving up to Secondary School (Year 7 – September 2026). Further information can be found on the Central Bedfordshire website – Apply for a secondary school place
The deadline for applications was 31 October 2025. Late applications should be made to the Local Authority.
Notification date is 2 March 2026
If your child is currently attending a school that ends at the end of Year 6, you will need to apply for a school place through the local authority in which the parent/carer has their main residence, usually Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire or Milton Keynes. For further information please refer to your local authority’s website.
Timeline for Admission Appeals for Year 7 - September 2026
Following national offer day on Monday, 2 March 2026 if you named Fulbrook School as one of your preferences and were unsuccessful, you will be sent a letter from the school providing further details as to why it wasn’t possible to allocate a place.
All unsuccessful applicants have a right to appeal against the decision not to offer a place to an independent appeal panel.
The appeals timetable* for Fulbrook School for students transferring to Year 7 in September 2026 is shown below. Both the Stage 1 hearing and Stage 2 individual hearings will be held virtually, with meeting invites issued by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel nearer the time.

Should you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at Fulbrook School, please email the admissions team at admissions@ket.education providing the name of the child, their date of birth, name of school appeal is for and an email address where the appeal paperwork can be sent.
Requests for appeal packs must be made by 12 noon on Monday, 13 April 2026 at 12 noon.
*Please note it may not be possible to include within this timetable any appeals that are lodged after the deadline.
**This is the deadline by which the completed appeal form must be received by the Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel.
