Fulbrook School offers provision for students between the ages of 9 – 16 in Years 5 – 11.

Prospective parents/carers and students may visit the school after arranging an appointment.

Children already on the school’s roll prior to moving into Year 7, will automatically move into this year group without the need to apply for a place.

The school has an agreed published admission number (PAN) of 50 for entry into Year 5 and 120 for entry into Year 7. The children who are already in Year 6 at Fulbrook School will automatically be allocated a place in Year 7 and will count towards the PAN of 120.

How to Apply

The application process is dependent on where you live and when you apply during the school year. Parents can apply for a place for their child at Fulbrook in Years 5 or Year 7 in September 2025 through the county in which the parent/carer has their main residence, usually Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire or Milton Keynes.

For children born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017.

Buckinghamshre Council - Apply for a primary school place

Central Bedfordshire Council - Apply for a middle school place

The deadline for applications was on 15 January 2025.

National Offer Day is on 16 April 2025.

Late applications received between 16 January and 30 April 2025 will be processed in the late allocation round.

Should the number of applications for admission exceed 50, the Governors will apply the following criteria, in the rank shown, to decide the order in which places will be allocated:

1. All ‘looked after’ children and all children who were previously ‘looked after’ (see definitions)

2. Students who have attended Fulbrook’s feeder schools i.e. Aspley Guise, Husborne Crawley, Ridgmont and Woburn Lower Schools

3. Students living in the catchment area (to include the 'Parklands' Development), with siblings at the school (see definition of sibling and catchment area);

4. Other students living in the catchment area (to include the ‘Parklands’ Development), and Service Children with a confirmed posting to the catchment area or crown servants returning from overseas to live in the catchment area;

5. ‘Very exceptional’ medical grounds (see definition);

6. Other siblings (see definition);

7. Children of staff working at Fulbrook;

8. Any other children

Year 7 Admissions for September 2025

For children born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014.

Milton Keynes City Council - Starting secondary/upper school in September 2025

The deadline for applications was 31 October 2024.

National Offer Day is on 3 March 2025.

Late applications received between 1 November 2024 to 17 March 2025 will be processed in the late allocation round.

Please note: children already on the schools roll prior to moving into Year 7, will automatically move into this year group without the need to apply for a place. This is expected to be approximately 60 students.

Should the number of applications for admission mean that the total number of students will exceed 120, the Governors will apply the following criteria, in the rank shown, to decide the order in which places will be allocated:

1. All ‘looked after’ children and all children who were previously ‘looked after’ (see definitions)

2. Students who have attended Swallowfield Primary School which is Fulbrook’s main feeder for Year 7

3. Students living in the catchment area (to include the 'Parklands' Development), with siblings at the school (see definition of sibling and catchment area)

4. Other students living in the catchment area (to include the ‘Parklands’ Development), and Service Children with a confirmed posting to the catchment area or crown servants returning from overseas to live in the catchment area;

In-Year applications are for students:

Moving schools during the academic year
Not joining a school at the point of entry or during the transfer phase, i.e. at the start of Year 5 or Year 7

Prior to joining the Kingsbridge Educational Trust (KET) on 1st September 2024, Fulbrook Governing Body were the admissions authority for the school, determining the admission policy for the school and taking decisions on applications for admission. The admission policies can be viewed below.
